Feng Shui for Helpful People and Travel Luck

10/7/2021

Metal is one of the 5 elements in feng shui. Along with the other 4 elements (earth, water, fire and wood) it needs to be used in a balanced way. The 2 areas of your home that are represented by the metal element are the Helpful People gua (this area is also used for Travel luck) and the Creativity gua. Today I’m going to walk you through how to activate and enhance your Helpful People and Travel area.

Helpful People and Travel Luck

This area is located in the front right section of your home, office or desk (yes, you can feng shui your desk!) when you first walk into your home. Check out the article I wrote about the bagua to find this area.

So, what exactly does “helpful people” mean? Well, it can mean all sorts of things. In business, it could be that you need support - business besties, a mastermind, a coach or mentor, or you need to hire just the right people for your team. It could also mean having incredible people as affiliates for your program or course, affiliates who fully support you and your work.

Personally, it could mean having a strong support system around you, or hiring people like contractors or a housekeeper or gardener. If you have a hard time attracting reliable help and support, take a look at the state of your home, especially in the Helpful People area.

When you think about it, helpful people and travel go together anyway. When you’re travelling, you encounter all sorts of people, from your Uber drivers, to flight attendants, to hotel staff, restaurant staff, tour guides… and everything in between. Have you ever encountered a not-so-helpful person on your travels? I sure have!! Also, helpful people can come from anywhere in the world no matter what it is you need help with in life.

Travel doesn’t just have to be a vacation or a business trip either. Travel is any kind of travel… even your regular commute to the city or if you have an upcoming move.

Tips to Activate and Enhance Your Helpful People and Travel Luck

  • To activate the metal energy, use items made of metal, brass, gold, copper, etc.
  • Incorporate things that are round in shape. Round metal decorative spheres, a metal bowl or a properly placed round mirror with a metal frame are perfect in this area.
  • Use the colour grey in this area as it represents the metal energy
  • Include objects that represent helpful beings such as gods, angels and spirits. You can even include photos of ancestors who have passed away if you think their spirit will help you in life. A note about buddhas… if a buddha is something that you connect with and want to include in this area, use one that has a body, not just the head.
  • Put your list of important contacts in this area (or in that area of your desk).
  • Display a picture or travel guide of the location you want to travel to. With the pandemic, international travel is not exactly on the top of most people’s lists, but the pandemic is temporary. Eventually you will be able to travel to far away lands again if you want to! So, put images of those destinations in this area. (Let me know in the comments where you want to travel to!)
  • Make some noise! Use a brass or metal bell, windchime or singing bowl to activate the energy in this area.
When this area of your home, office or bedroom, is activated you will start to see that helpful people just seem to come into your life when you most need them. And we can always use some help from time to time, right?!
